i have the super 40's flowmaster exhaust which has a low deep sound and i was thinking about a x pipe , which would be the best O/R x pipe for my 01 mustang gt

can you name the brand, or should i get a h pipe

 

h pipe will be deeper and an x will be louder and higher pitched. I have used pro-chambers in the past, which is basically an h pipe. As far as x pipes, I have run BBK's and now use a VRS and have been VERY happy with it over the BBK's. Dr Gas and UPR also make nice pipes. In my honest opinion, I think Bassani is overpriced for X pipes.

 

i have flows on mine and i hahe a BBK O/R X and i love it. i paid like $220 or something for it then $80 for the BBK MILL's

 

I have an o/r H with my flows.....I love it.....its really all preference.

Go with the X...you will love it, go with the H.....you will love it.

people on ebay saleing x pipe said h pipes are no good over 3000 rpm is that true

 

an X will be louder and deeper than the stock H, but an aftermarket H will be even louder and deeper than the X.

 

I just got offroad h Pipe with flows and lt headers and between 2500-3000 rpms is sounds ricy because it has a loud studdering sound. Other than that I LOVE the sound and scarying the **** out of people at the lights.
