Default Shift lights???

I need a stand alone shift light.I was leaning toward the Raptor but have read that people have been having problems with it setting off the CEL.I know Autometer makes very good products also.It must be one of the small units because if I get pulled over I don't want the cops to think that I might drive recklessly. So which one would you get?

I have a g-tech pro which has a shift light built in. You can set it to any rpm you desire. It has 4 LED's pretty bright, just as good as those shift lights mentioned, I bet. Plus you can do alot of other things with it.... http://www.gtechpro.com/test.html

I have my shift light mounted in the left air vent - you should condsider that because it leaves a clean look to the car and looks really good when it goes off at night. Mines autometer by the way and its really good.

I have not had any problems with my Raptor. You just need to be very careful with the wire harness and 100% certain of the feed line for the signal. It takes some time to find but it can be done. Tying in to power and ground should be done carefully too. I was able to tie in to a switched line next to the PCM and ground it using the PCM grond lug.

I put mine in the center of the gauge cluster and it looks good.

raptor has 7 led's

mines mounted on the steering pod with velcro. tried on the gauge pod like above but the wheel interfered with the light in certain positions. no problem seeing the light even during the day
