Default C&L vs MAC

I have a MAC cai right now it is just from the maf forward. I was going to buy a C&L unit that goes all of the way to the throttle body, and has an 80 mm maf housing. It is also not a fender unit, it is like jlts rai. I was just wondering if i should pick up a little more power than i had with the MAC? I am mostly getting it because it will look better under the hood, and i wanted an cai that reached the tb.

the C&L kits are nice, but those Trueflow inlet pipes heat up really quick. I have the 80MM MAM, Trueflow inlet pipe, 75MM BBK TB, and C&L plenum. It Looks nice, but I should have gotten a plastic pipe. That aluminum just gets way too hot way too fast! Just an observation....
