It's supposed to send a stronger spark to your plugs resulting in a cleaner and more efficient ignition of the fuel in your cylinders. Who knows if it actually works.
so basicaly it works like putting a msd with a on a car?
Thats what it seems like to me, a MSD competitor. And it doesn't seem alot cheaper either.

I'm no mechanic or electrcian(sp), but i think i see what it does. Its doesn't make the spark any stronger, instead it weakens it alittle, and allows for multiple sparks. If you look at the graph they provide, you see that the stock curve actually has a higher discharge. The plasma booster will lower the peak discharge, but allow for mutiple sparks, allowing for any entrails to be discharged.

Like i said, i'm going from what i can understand from these graphs.

yeah but if you get a better ignition system like an msd or whatever, the first spark would be all you need if its a good one

Not true, the MSD works as the way he described, multiple sparks to ensure full combustion. I truely think the Plasma Booster is just a knock-off MSD ignition system, I'm not saying it isn't just as good, just saying if you know how an MSD ignition works, then that is how the Plasma Booster states it works, they just don't advertise it that way because they don't want to advertise for their competitors. I personally like the tried and true name brand products myself.

KB does make a system, interesting write up to:

http://www.kennebell.net/accessories...oostaspark.htm

Forget the rhetoric and magazine ads and let's tell it like it really is. Never buy an ignition system for your late model "coil" vehicle because you think it will make more HP, help start ups, increase throttle response or improve fuel economy. It will not. You add an ignition system to guarantee it wll fire at higher rpm or boost levels. The Cobra's ignition (see below) was not igniting all the fuel mixture at 8 psi above 2500 rpm. We activated the BOOST-A-SPARKā„¢ at 3 psi and made 50HP.

I read the KB tech-info for the 4.6 and it basically said unless you are running 9psi or more then you don't need an aftermarket ignition system.

It seems a bit off to me. I've heard nothing but success from MSD. We actually just put an MSD module on our 69 chevy impala... runs a lot smoother. Mainly how it works, is it gives the multiple sparks at 3000 rpm or lower, above 3000 rpm it's like normal. It is to improve starting, idle, emissions and cruising/accleration.
