still moving up just the lift from .473 to .505 is still a good move for nonPI heads. PI cams are good on nonPI heads thats just plain and simple. just bumping up .032 is a good change in lift. VTstage1's, are what 600 dollars and there is a .550 lift. which is a .045 lift increase from the stock PI cam. putting VTstage1's on a nonPI motor is dumb. so if their is a guy that wants a drivable car and if you dont want to spend 600 dollars on cams when you can get used stock PI cams for a third of the price that are a FORD product. cam install is somewhat easy and fast. work 3 hours to get around 30hp is a good swap but thats only me.
You are not going to gain 30hp from a pi cam swap. Acer has a full pi swap on his car and I believe he picked up 60hp.
MM&FF did a cam swap with comp cams 262's on a non-pi motor and only picked up 20hp.

you are anr not going to get 30hp by swaping in stock cams. maybe on a blown car or something.full PI swaps add like 50 and there is no way 30 of it is from the cams. its the better flow and raised compression. i never said that putting Stage 1 cams in a npi motor will help alot. im saying why not just do a PI swap. that is alot more power

Please, I'm 19 and my parents do not give me anything for my car. They discourge me from getting anything. So when I want something, I have to buy it. Yet, I am doing the PI swap, it may be a slow process, but I will have it done. Hell, even my GF has bought more stuff for my car than my parents, be it little things here and there.

just a little FYI most people dont talk about flywheel hp, they almost always talk about what it gets to the ground. and VT stage 1 cams are like 25hp so i dont really thing stock cams are going to add 15. maybe 10

i was offered some sean hyland stage 1 cams for cheap. would it be a bad idea to put them into my npi motor? and then keep them for my d46 high performance head swap down the road?

how cheap? no its not if its a good deal. your Npi motor will make more power with them then npi cams. its just you would make more on a pi thats all. so if its cheap then go for it.

my best is 14.7 @ 92mph. mods are in my sig and my car is an auto. track is 3200 ft above sea level (not sure if that makes a differance?)
