Default I need help with an exhaust desicion!!!

I have a 02 mustang GT with Cold Air Intake, Steeda Pulleys, and a 70mm throttle body. I want to upgrade the exahust with and x pipe with no cats. Theres only one problem. My friend got a magnaflow x pipe with flowmaster exhausts with no cats and the car sounds loud but when he lets go of the gas an pushes the clutch the exhaust sounds like a can. Do all x pipes sound like that or if anyone has a different cpombination please tell me.

I have basically the same set up and mine doesn't sound like that at all its a nice deep tone (not as deep as an H pipe though). there is only a slight crackle on deceleration and thats how i like it, i get complements on my exhaust all the time.

The h-pipe with no cats would be deeper and sound better in my opinion. And it kinda depends on what catback system you want. Its all on you brother.
