SHM has the forged short block on sale for 3000 with a Cobra crank. I would buy that short block and put my heads and stuff on. That would be a sweet motor to put a S/C or nitrous on. http://www.seanhylandmotorsport.com/...specials.shtml

Look around dude. I have seen a 03 Cobra engine w/ the Tranny for 12000. It had less than 30k on them. If you got the cash, it is the way to go. I will try to fnd the link. In fact, here it is http://www.car-part.com/index.htm Good luck.

Ok i just gound out from a ford dealer after they did all of the diagnostic tests taht my motor is completely done. First of all the whole car is going to be 7000$ to fix, heres what they said is wrong with it , Number 8 cylinder is gone completely broken, theres a problem with rod bearing, problem with the wrist pin, problem with exhaust manifold its leaking, idler screwd up, and soon theres going to be major problems with the clutch and brakes… SO THESE ARE MY OPTIONS, If the cylinder wall is intact then just get a stroker kit. But because the #8 cylinder is gone, then it was probably bouncing around the cylinder wall which means it probably scratched or cracked it up. So i might just do a complete engine swap, this means im going to need to find either a junkyard motor ( stock 4.6L SOHC, saleen, mach1, or hopefullly cobra) or buy a brand new crate motor. Last but hopefully this isnt the case, im going to have to sell the car
, and sadly ill only have enough money to buy maybe an lt1 camaro / firebird ( about 6-7 grand ) but hopefully i can get it fixed or end up with more horsepower.
