What other mods do you have or do you plan to do with such aggressive cams? Not really the best for daily driving either, because you may have idling problems with it. the xe274 is pretty much a drag racing only cam that is very peaky. I'm sure if you have an all out drag car that you'll love it, but you have nothing but a cat-back & a shifter...I'd look at other mods first.

I know I'm not Code, but that size cam is pretty much for racing. If you plan on going to the track alot, than I guess it would be ok.

Just my opinion, but like I said...they are big cams. Do you know the exact specs on them?? Also, depending on how much of a DD you want. My cams are pretty big for a DD and it has been a BIATCH to tune for idle and such on a DD. You have to remember, with a DD there is alot of stop and go driving and it's a pain to tune for the big cams so your car doesn't die when you stop. Also, you have to take into consideration running with your A/C on. When the A/C compressor kicks on, your idle drops which can wreak havoc on keeping the car running while slowing down to stop.

I am not saying it can't be done, but you will need a good tuner that knows what he/she is doing. Also, with that size cam, headwork, exhaust and intake is a must to see the full potential. I am unsure what the powerband is on those Comps, but I am guessing it's probably in the 2500-6700rpm range and it will be hard to twist a stock bottom end that high.
