Electric water pump kit?

Electric water pump kit?
Does anyone have the electric water pump kit installed? I am saving up for Cams and Blower all at once but I am still looking to upgrade a little until then. What are the pros and cons to this mod?

Now, off topic....why do you have such a big MAF?

Thanks. It was recomended from a friend. I put the custom chip in at the same time and it was pretty noticable. The adjustment might have been from the chip but she is running better then ever.

We had a thread like this a while back, I think the general consensus was it wasn't worth it. However, it would be interesting to know if someone did have it working and what sort of mean time between failure they've had, along w/ dyno #s.

The pros...less drag and a few more ponies. Cons...you need some sort of monitoring system to let you know if the pump goes out and they last anywhere from 10-12000 hours. This time includes drive time and idling time.

The monitoring circut is pretty cheap, you can get it out of any electronics catalog and put it together with almost no electrical knowledge.
I haven't done one cause they are like 300+ bucks, and I don't think it will be a very big gain if you already have underdrive pullys. On a supercharged car you might pick up quite a bit, since you cannot run a underdrive on a supercharged car.
