its probably your exhaust...
i dont know about cats getting clogged, or no longer functioning,, but
when i had my o/r H installed along with my catback, the smell definately became
more sickening,
i noticed it a bit the day i got it, but one day sitting at a drivethrough with the wind coming towards my rear, it hit me pretty good
needless to say i didnt enjoy my double cheese from McDonalds [:'(]

Your might be running rich or something besides if the clutch is not broken in yet, you need to make sure it is. Ignore the smell till something breaks haha, then you'll know exactly what smelled so bad

It's your cats that are clogged up, it's happened to me once before. If you burn your clutch, you WOULD know it, it smells aweful. My stupid friend burnt the sh*$ out of my clutch when I let him drive my car for the first time. Needless to say, that was the last time he drove it.

One thing I don't understand is how to get the "burning clutch" smell. I have done numerous launches in this mustang and my previous, been on and off the clutch constantly while up/down shifting among other types of erratic driving. To this day, I have never even once smelled or experience the "burning clutch". I guess I could understand it in hardcore road courses and autocross events.
But seriously, after what I've put my cars through...
Are you guys seriously riding the clutch like hell, or just not know how to drive?
I'm curious how one "burns" up the clutch so often and know what the distinct smell is.
