Sell the car or not?

Sell the car or not?
I looked at a cobra the other day for 26K, and I am starting to think that maybe my best bet would be to sell the GT and just get 400 RWHP the easy way.
So I guess my question is, would I be better off with the lower monthly payment and adding a 3800 dollar vortech kit (no cooler) @ 8psi on my car (and probably rebuild the 8.8 for slicks work), or a 03 cobra with the intention to do a pully/exaust/tune almost right away (and probably nothing else for a long long time)??
I just cannot see pulling the engine on the GT to forge the bottom end, which caps me out at around 420 RWHP.
I hate to sell the GT after the TKO and all the other addon stuff (that will be a total loss when I sell it) but I am getting extremely frustrated at still worrying that every LS1 I race is gonna have a set of headers and a mid pipe (which probably means I get my *** handed to me). Something must be done.
Which would be the faster car (on the street)? Which would be a better all around car??

RE: Sell the car or not?
Your better off with the Cobra. It's 3 times the car and you won't have to worry about doing another TKO swap or worrying about pulling out your engine, getting machine work and forged internals, then installing and getting it tuned and blahblahblah.
Cobra is the easy answer and I will testify after going halfway as far as you did with my GT, I got sick of 3-4HP from $200+ mods.

De-mod it and then sell off both the parts and the car.

Sure as hell don't want to buy a new trans to replace the TKO, the old clutch is gone, the headers are too much of a bitch to screw with, not to mention that the old H is gone, the aftercat is cut into peices (to remove it) and i screwed up the alternator pully (stock one) getting it off. Plus one of the stock camshafts has a knick in it (thanks install shop for throwing them in the dumpster) and the stock springs are long gone.
That leaves the filter, maf, inlet elbow, t/b, and plenum, which is all worth about 400 bucks used, and would make the car run like total ***.
Demodding it is not an option.
BTW 96, your right about the boost killing cams, but MD did it with stage 1s and made 415 RWHP, so I figure I can too??

Yeah, I believe that it could be done, but you would be pushing more lbs of boost just to get the same results.
