Trying to find out some basic info
Well, here's the deal, in the next couple of months I want to purchase a 96-98 GT. I keep trying to find out what the stock gearing is, and it is to no avail. I also want to know what RPM the motor is turning at 70 and 80 mph, so I can figure out what gears to replace the stockers with. Also, anybody know what suspension setup could get a GT close to 1.0 on the Skidpad, I know that the mustang is not exactly a drift car or anything, but I like taking corners quick. So, if you can help, it'd be much appreciated.

RE: Trying to find out some basic info
Well, anyways.. The stock gear ratio for 96-98 gt's were 3.08 with an optional 3.27. It should say on the tag on the rear differential which it has. Or if you want, lift the rear end of the car, mark the tire and driveshaft, and count how many times the driveshaft turns per revoultion of the tire.
ex. 3=3.08, 3 1/4= 3.27, 3 3/4=3.73
ex. 3=3.08, 3 1/4= 3.27, 3 3/4=3.73
