Default Steeda Tri-Ax Shifter

Question, is it normal for this shifter to be held towards your knee for first and second gears? DOH! I keep missing 2nd gear and "catching" 4th, DOH! It is beautifully tight, and third, fourth, OD and Reverse are easier than the stocker. Does this tendency lessen as the shifter breaks in?

Default RE: Steeda Tri-Ax Shifter

the first time i drove a car with the tri-ax i started in third going up an incline and almost stalled it.....twice!! (yea i got laughed at [&:]) because i didn't realize how far over 1st gear was....then again it was just installed, so maybe as it breaks in it gets better.

but overall its a great shifter, definitely way better than stock.
