Where is your most power? I would think around redline, but I dont know when your GT would start losing power.

Thats not fair, my 01GT redlines at like 5700. And nice 1/4mile time for a non-pi stang with a few bolt ons. However your shifting, it must be working with your time.

i really woundnt go much further than 6grand, but i am pretty sure with a non pi motor with stock valve springs etc your gonna get some valve float above 6 grand

If your car is a stock non-PI GT, your car will not make any power at 6,000 rpms. My automatic '98 GT shifts into the next gear at about 5,500 rpms stock. If I was u I wouldn't take it much farther than 5,000 rpms cus that is right about where you make your peak power.

My 96' gt loses power at redline, i hardly ever rev past maybe 5,800 rpms. It feels like i lose power after 5,700ish.
