Default Any 96-98s S/Ced?

Im debating whether to do cylinder heads or save up and grab an S/C. Cylinder heads bump my compression ratio too high and I dont wanna buy both. My real question is how much hp can I expect on an NPI engine s/ced? if its gonna be under 280 I might as well do cylinder heads. Or if you know a place to buy s/cs for cheaper then plz tell me thanks in advance

dont s/c a npi motor. thats the first thing i learned about this motor. some alternatives for ya. pick up a 99+ gt motor for around a grand, and s/c that. rebuild your motor with forged internals and lower compression pistons. or do a pi swap and run nos. some big decisions either way you go, try not to rush into anything untill you're 100% sure what you want. talking the price of your car for an engine swap+blower, or about 1500$ for pi swap+nos, or the engine rebuild which could cost a whole lot. goodluck

sounds good, you gonna run nos or anything? you could do low boost with a blower and be alright.

wait wait I just dont understnad why get aftermarket heads for 1600 total (stage 2) and have about 280bhp or 270bhp when an S/C would put me to over 300 for around 2 gs? (powerdyne makes a cheap s/c)
