Default Shorty Headers? worth it?

Well I am looking into the last piece of my exhaust and was considering some shorty headers. They had be had for half the price of LTs and their install price would be far less than that of longubes. So what do you think the gains would be with shorties with an aftermarket midpipe and catback with other minor boltons?

BBK shorties are good, nothing like LTs but they are probably the best shorties

I've heard like 5 or 6 rwhp, and I'm pretty sure you could do the install yourself. Save some money, I've heard they're fairly easy to install.

shortys are "better" flowing then stock but to get the full potentional out of your exhaust you will need Long Tubes. Keep in mind that long tubes are not allowed in all 50 states.. only some of the states. Shorties are a good subsitution if you have done every bolt on possible and want a little bit more power. RWHP expected from shorties 4-7

Shorties arent worth the hassle for the price and gain.. You only get a mild improvement over the stock manifolds. LT's are the way to go if you can afford them... Will definatly be what I go with.

I want to get LongTubes so bad...

But there is apparently emmissions testing in WA where I just moved to.

Can I not get them now?

Yea but I was quoted 700-900 bucks for the install. Add that to the 700 bucks it costs for the header themselves at your at about $1500. Yo u think that would really be worth the 10 HP you will get from them?
