Default exhaust recommendation

I've been reading alot about exhausts systems but i am still not able to make up my mind. Hopefully someone can shed some light on the issue.

I'm keeping the stock h-pipe for now and I'd like a cat-back, preferabily a stainless system. I want it to be as loud as possible on the street, but as quiet as possible on the highway since i do alot of highway driving.

Which system do you guys recommend? Thanks, Peter

A majority of aftermarket exhausts are going to be loud on the highway since your cruising at around 2-3k rpms which is where it is usually the most noticeable in the cabin. Probably the quitest catback is going to be magnaflow. Try www.mustangexhaust.com and also here at our own site https://mustangforums.com/m_617216/tm.htm

I've checked out alot of sound clips but it's hard to go by that alone since the only thing u can tell is basically the tone. Hard to tell how loud it really is and if it's highway hell.

Do you think the SLP loudmouth II with stock mid-pipe would be good? What about the new line of Slp exhaust, Powerflo?

Ive heard good things about the powerflos...never heard them in person but supposedly they are supposed to be the quietest of the slp line with the deepest tone. I would definately place my vote on the powerflows, the II's might be a little loud for you but its hard to tell exactly.

SLP LM I's will be loud, more aggressive/less toned
SLP LM II's will be deeper with a more distinct sound than the LM I's
Magnapacks
Magnaflow
Borla
Bassanni

it all depends on what you want really

if youre not into spending lots of money, consider anything that starts with Magna or SLP,, i think the SLP systems are right around 400ish

exactly...I think a magnaflow catback or a slp powerflo catback is in your near future.

Which of those systems do you think would be the most bearable on the highway but still sound good on the street?

Red, have you had the LM2 on the car before putting on the aftermarket x-pipe?

At this point I'm really split between the LM2 and the powerflo. [8D]
