Default Engine issue?

OK yall, check it. Went to take my car for an oil change Saturday. I went to the gym since it's right next to the place i go to. Well, I dropped a weight on my finger and had to go to the ER. Had my parents pick me up since i couldn't drive with my finger all messed up (it's fractured now). I paid the guy and told him i had to leave NOW. He said fine and let me leave my car. Anyway, after i got out of the ER, i went with my mom to get my car. We started driving home and it was funny. The idle dropped to about 400rpm and almost stalled. Odd. Never done that before.

Now, I haven't driven my car in almost a week (since saturday). I started it this morning and was letting it warm up like always. I then started to smell something burning. I thought it was something on the outside, so didn't pay much attention to it. Minute later, the cab starts to fill with smoke. I shut the car off and popped the hood and yep... It smelled. Keep in mind the car hasn't been touched since my oil change and it was running great before i brought it in.

What do yall suggest it could be? I'm thinking they didn't put oil in my car at all. They had to do something to it. The car hasn;t moved since i brought it back. I couldn't check the dipstick as it was 4:30am, no light, and my car was on the driveway. Was also in a hurry.

Well if there is no oil in the engine I'm sure the diagnosis is somewhat obvious... I'm no expert, but I am willing to bet it has SOMETHING to do with the service they did (or in this case) didnt do. Did they just change the oil? Or did they do other fluids as well?

i just took it in for my usual synthetic change. they may have topped my fluids off, but i just went in for a change. never had an issue with them before. they HAD to have done something. like i said, the car hasn't even been moved in almost a week, cause i can't drive it.

they're bringing a tow truck to my house right now to pick it up.

i did check, but i couldn't tell how much was really in it. i was on my driveway at an angle. there was definitely oil on the dipstick, so i'm sure there's oil IN the car.
