but because other car companys say grand touring we assume ford does to, but the phone call to the dealer confirmed it means nothing more than "our signature for faster cars" i personaly prefer it to mean something, if grand touring is it then so be it

Historically, "GT" has stood for Grand Touring. It's used to denote a package for a vehicle beyond simply getting from one place to another. It denotes a vehicle designed and built just to simply drive with no particular destination.

I saw that, however I do not think we should discourage newcomers from browsing through old posts and offering their views and information they might have--sort of like the search function. We all encourage people to use it and then often climb all over them for resurrecting an old thread...
