Hey guys, auto here, dont knock us auto guys. While your holding your stick and shifting thru gears..
Im holding my lunch, my drink (what ever that may be...)and not to mention, the most important thing my girl.
I drove a stick for many years and I feel liberated.
Ive also become quite creative with my free foot

its not as bad as people say but once you get up to 120 then thats whne it starts going a lot slower.

 

You act like they are children with cerebal paulsey (sp?), automatic Mustangs dont perform that much worse than manuals. And are pretty much even with a few mods. Most people just get the manual because it is more fun to drive.

 

auto here.. i race anyone mostly on the street.. havent been to the track yet... biggest kill so far is my friends 03 cobra it was stock at the time...

 

How many shifts did he have to miss to lose to you?

 

i knew i was going to get some questions about that... he didnt miss any shifts he spun pretty bad at the start so that is what hurt him... when we hit the 1/4 he was right next to me he only lost by like 1 foot or less it was nice close race... he even admitted it... but now he wants to go again and this time he has full exaust and pulley swap... so i am buying stuff with my tax return to give him another good run.. we are going to record it again like we did the last one... when we do i will post the vid.

 

I'd believe it airman...with a shift kit, 4.10 gears, and a nice stall you'll beat tons of people off the line if you can hook....those mods right there will rape manuals anyday

 

thanks 97 stanger glad someone realizes auto's can be fast if set up right... everytime i say something to someone about beating a 03 cobra they always have something to say like how many shifts did he miss or how many arms did he have stuff like that... everyone seems to think the cobras are unbeatable... well they are not

 

that's cause the driver has to really f-up to lose to car with a ~150 HP disadvantage.

 

im auto and i love to drag race but who doesn't?
