Default Headers -- question before I buy

-- Damn good price for long tube headers I think, don't know much about the MAC brand. Anyway, the website didn't have any specifically for the 4.6L 2v V8 engine, the only kind they had in my year range were the ones I posted above, for the cobra 4.6L 4v engine, those wouldn't fit on a GT would they?

What they said. And Mac does seem to be the least expensive for most exhaust products, don't know if that is because they are of lower quality or not tho.... I am going to buy a Mac Prochamber, hope it doesnt give me any problems...

The MACs do not have the one-piece flange. IF you ever take them off, I'll bet that they are a royal bitch to get back on and seal. Get the one-piece flange like BBK. Costs more, but fewer headaches.

BBK will be fewer headaches is right, thats why Im going with them. But MAC makes very good headers, with very nice performance gains. If you don't want to spend the money, grab some ceramic MAC LT's for $360 and you will be set. They are very good, and a lot of people like them. The only problem is you have to do some work to get them to fit "perfectly" (ie. Drilling the flanges for perfect alignment). Otherwise, great product.

I would shy away from the MAC brand just because of my past experience with installation. I helped a buddy of mine put a set of MAC headers on his car about a month ago, and they didn't fit worth a $h!t. We had to pry the primaries apart with a crowbar to get the header bolts to line up with the bolt holes in the head. Royal pain in the @$$!!!
