A "notch" is a win....as in another notch on my gun....as in the old West!? No reference to hatchback or whatever. You will toast the hell out of him particularly since you have PI heads in your '99. I agree, WAY too much said about older Foxes that basically couldn't even get out of their own way unless they have "extensive" mods. If the race is short and he has bigger ratio gears than you, it will definitely sway the race over to the Fox. Stock '99 gears are 3.27. For all you know, he might have those wonder 2.73 gears that were around for awhile. If that is the case, he won't even be able to find you let alone beat you....you're gone! Just don't be a dumb a$$ and spin the hell out of your tires on launch....you don't go anywhere when you are spinning.

how much does mileage REALLY make? How much slower is for example my car since it has 113 k miles?

when my 98gt had 18k it was pretty quick,and i drove it hard all the time.at about 80k
it was starting to be a dog,and you could tell....it really depends maybe.
113k driven hard or 113k babied and well taken care of...it's slight but nothing you are making it out to be.
