Did either of you guys use anything to coat your pipes? Since we get a lot of rain where I live, I think I might get some high-heat spray paint and spray my pipes...

Hmmm could be. I know the pipe I am getting is uncoated aluminized steel. They also offer a coated version for about 50 bucks more. I dont see the point in paying that much when I can get some high heat paint for about 5 bucks...

Agreed, as you can tell I am a big fan of Doing it Yourself. Unless it is major, like transmissions and such, I am not going to learn how to work on transmissions with my car.

Yea, the pipe I am getting is only 140 bucks, so if I have to replace it in a few years due to rust, I'm not going to cry about it. My midpipe install is going to be my first mod I have done myself that will require some real effort. Hopefully I can get that dreaded header bolt off everybody talks about...

Well I have had my pipes in for a lil over 6 mos now and I havent noticed any rust on my pipes... But you will notice a big seat of the pants feel when they are installed... You'll like it...trust me
