Any tips on replacing the original gears in a 2002 GT with 410's?

If you dont know what you are doing its safer to have someone at a shop do it. You can really mess some stuff up if you dont know what your doing. You also need specal tools.

Any tips on replacing the original gears in a 2002 GT with 410's?

mine just arrived in the mail, and as soon as my headers arrive, i am having the shop do it all at once. I have learned my lesson too many times about losing patience and breaking something (usually like a .15 clip that screws the whole job). It is better on some things not to giver 'er try and let pay someone to do it right, which we all know, aint cheap. [&:]

Make sure you replace your pinion bearings...

Get a Master Bearing Kit. And dont forget to have some type of device to modify your speedo. Whether its a handheld tuner/speed cal.

Should a performance shop have the bearing kit or should i just go ahead and buy one and take it with me? Any recommendations on what kind, where to buy and how much?
