if this sounds crazy, then oh well, but when i do my oil change and tire rotation, i always clean the under carriage and inside of the wheels. i just love a clean car.

That doesn't sound crazy at all.

Do you take it to a car wash and manually spray the underside...or do you literally go underneath the car and scrub them clean while it's jacked up?

i have the luxury of using a car lift at an auto shop, so i get underneath with a scrub brush, sponge, lots of rags and mcquire wet shine.

I usually just spray the underneath with soap and water when I wash it, as far as whats next, well, as I can afford it:
Engine and driveline,
CAI
Intake manifold (if edelbrock's ever comes out)
T/B and Plenum
NGK Plugs
Cams
Transgo Shift Kit
Aluminum driveshaft
u/d Pullies
High output alternator
relocating Batt. to trunk (optima yellow top) to trunk ( I know people say its useless, but weight transfer is traction, even if it's only a bit)
Supercharger (if my buddy can get this used one he told me about) Nitrous 100 shot if not)high 12's
and of course, a good handheld tuner
lt headers with a catted h-pipe,,, would be way to loud without cats, the LM1's are awesome

Body and suspension:
Lowering springs 1.5-2"
C/C plates
Shelby stripes
Tint
Mach 1 grill delete and chin spoiler
Xenon ultra white fog lights ( to match my headlights, the fogs look like s*#t with the headlights on now)
Drilled and slotted rotors all around
Some decent tires
Polyurethane bushings in the sway bar end links and control arme
I'm gonna box in and powder coat my factory control arms
subframe connectors

interior
Gonna install my 1500 watt alpine mrv1505 ( i bought it new back in 97 and love it) along with a custom enclosure for my single 15" alpine type R sub. ( I already have my audio stuff, so it'll probably be first)

This is gonna take probably the whole summer, but I am hoping to have it in the high 12's no boost or juice, and who knows if I am running them,,, a long project, but should be worth it in the end, Oh and I am not getting gears, and if I do, only 3.55's, I like my top speed and economy, I drive on the highway a lot.....
