how to tell?

how do I tell the diffrence between the non-pi heads and the pi heads how many diffrent type of pi heads do they make also what heaads would be in my car? (97 GT)

96-98`s come with non PI heads. 99-04`s come with PI heads

I know that I want to know how I can tell them apart or do they all look the same and you just have to hope the person selling them to you is telling the truth.

Count the bolts on the valve covers.

11 = NPI

more(13 i think) = PI

thanks, because I know my heads are not PI but I dont want to buy some that are the same as what I have. is there anything else to look for?

Well, I believe the ports on the head are shaped differently...

NPI resembles a tear drop, PI are more square.

Well, my 04 has PI heads and I only have 11 bolts on my valvecovers. [&:]
