sure no problem... it's just a way to see if that's where the noise is comin from. If the WD silences it for a bit, then bam that bearing is probably toast. I found a bad tensioner on a blazer once like this at my shop.

i like how ford made that bracket that covers the idler pully so if it goes bad it wont instantly throw the belt so maybe you could make it home. ne ways i found out that most cars made in canada when the vent is used or defroster the ac compresser kicks on when its in heat mode. Its supposed to make the car warm up faster so there is less wear on internals.
