HI, quick question for you guys & gals I have an 02 v6 with an x-pipe and
cat back I bought from Jegs and a 99 cobra with an H-pipe and SLP both
have sensor exstension on them the first car I did was the 6 the check engine
was on for about 15 mins since then nothing had Auto zone check it with computer
everything is great. Just did my Cobra exhaust no check engine light just wondering
if this is normal or should I go ahead and purchase them wondering if the altitude
or climate had somthing to do with it my elevation here is about 4600 ft sorry

Give them time, the check engine light will come up.

 

The v 6 exhaust has been on since october my wife drives it almost every day
trust me I have been waiting for the light to come on still nothing!

 

Do they have cats?? If so, then you don't need MILS.

 

No cats Idaho no emission test YET!!!!!

 

I would actually be concerned, if you don't have cats, and don't have mil elims, and havent tuned it with a tuner........ then you may have an issue with you're computer..... It's supposed to pick it up within 200 miles..... I tested mine, I've got hte o/r prochamber in my mach1, and i turned my rear O2 sensors back "on" within 75 miles i got a CEL, I turned em off again shortly thereafter (gotta love portable tuners)

 

Mabee I better just buy them have about 2000 miles on V6 with x pipe now
If there was a computer problem wouldn,t it throw a code or somthing car
seems to run fine??????????????????
