Do the intake shuffle.....change the plenum, TB and CIA all at the same time and you will notice a big change. They are meant to all work together for best results. On the CIA's, go the in-fender route so you are sucking cold air rather than hot from the engine bay. BBK makes one of many such CIA's.

You aren't gonna see any difference between the fender sytle and the short one. True you will suck a little bit cooler air through the fender one, but it also has more bends and there is a small chance it could suck a little bit of water if you hit a deep puddle. I'd just get whatever one looks the coolest, and plastic + heatshield doesnt hurt.

so generally all CAI kits will give you the same result? Assuming you find one that has quality parts.... I never heard the ebay ones were good, but I have seen them inperson and they look the same as the more expensive ones...

The ebay ones might be of low quality and might not fit 100% properly. But yes they are basically the same and a waste of money. Unless you just want something cool to look at under the hood.

cool... I left my intake stock and put in a WIX air filter... works fine for me...

my theory is those intake mods only get complimented with a blower or cams and exhaust...

I bought the K&N cai, a 75mm throttle body and plenum and a Predator. I have everything installed but I am working out a few kinks. I hope I feel a decent gain, it should be good for at least 10hp, although I am hoping for more. Try to stay away from the metal tubes for intakes, they get hot, and will heat the air slightly more than a plastic one.

Well the only thing restictive about the stock CAI is the filter really. The little ripples in the stock pipe supposedly disrupt air flow so replacing it with a smoother inlet pipe will net you some gains.

i have an ebay one and its great. fit right on and came with gaskgets and all. none will give you big gains by themself but they will all give the same no matter the brand, just go with the better looking cheap one because if u still add the other parts u will get good gains aswell, just as if u spend $200.

+1
I am getting the JLT when I get one because it can be painted to match my car, has only 1 bend, is plastic and comes with a heat shield. All for less than the K&N.
