I have 245/45/17 up front with 17x9 rims and 275/40/17 in back with 17x10.5".

The rim sizes for 245/45/17's are 17x7.5 - 17x9
The rims sizes for 275/40/17's are 17x9 - 17x11

Make sure your stocks are at least 17x9.

Also in reference to 03redtgt: Tire rack does have 275/40/17's listed. They are BFGoodrich G-Force Sports. That what I just bought from them last week.

03redgt was just saying that under mustang gt's, they only show 265 as being the biggest. Arent all bullitts from 99-04 17x9?

How come it's so hard for some of you to stick to the topic? He is obviously asking about the stock rims so saying that they fit on your 17x9 etc. doesn't help much.

There have been many threads on this on the past week and yes they fit perfectly fine on a 17x8 stock bullitt rim. Many people here are using them.

Go to the website of whatever brand of tires they are. I know on my Toyo's each tire has 3 wheel widths it will fit. The one listed in the middle is the best fit however.

My buddy had the Sumitomo HTRZ II's in 275/40/17 on 17x8 Bullitts on the back of his '96 GT, and I think they looked great! I like to see the widest tire possible on a wheel. I hate to see the opposite though, where the tire is stretched and narrower than the wheel...

you can fit them on stock bullits but most people on here advise against it. I know dan ran 275s on his 02 gt no problems.

Sorry wasn't trying to get off original topic. I'm saying the 275/40/17 require 17x9-17x11. If the stock Bullits are 17x 8, yes they'd fit but it'll be tight. I never like using an undersized rim. Good luck and if others have used those rims with those size tires, then it's your call. Always research everything thoroughly before buying anything.
