Default 12s?

Ok so I'm doing the 5.4 swap I have ported pi heads stage 1 cam 70mm accufab throttle body and U/P and fuel upgrades, UDP, full exhuast (long tube headers o/h mid pipe and 4.10 gears. I also have lower and upper controll arms and a eibach pro kit new shocks and struts. And DR are on the way. Do you guys think 12's are in my future? I have a t-45 by the way.

I think I read in the cams sticky up top that if you have a full-bolt on's and cammed 2v 4.6 12s are possible. So I would assume it is possible with the 5.4 with a tune.

not sure man. Hard to tell. I only know of one other guy who's done the 5.4 swap, darkhorse. I think he's selling his car too. You should hit a 13 like its nothing, 12's are a difference story.

I know that you don't know till you do it but I don't really live by a track so....If/when I do it won't be for awhile so I just kinda wanted any idea how I would do. Of course I'm not going to tell everyone I actually will run a 12.5 just because someone on here said I might but just want an idea of how I would do for my own knowledge.

the 5.4 will also be heavier than the 4.6.

Yeah I know that but I think that the horsepower will overcome the weight. Dark_horse said that at 2,500rpms the 5.4 will make 40horse and 90lbs more torque then a 4.6.

The 5.4 is a TQ monster not a HP monster. "I" feel the only way to liven up a N/A 5.4 is put some 4V heads on it. IMO

Yea I definitely agree. That is the plan as soon as the budget can support it. 4v heads monster can and more compression

watch the TQ, your T45 will be a major weak link.
