I have an 01 bullitt with 25k I am going to do an oil change and have been debating on what oils I should use. Syn or not . Should I use lucas oil synt oil stablizer or not. I was told to use 4 qts of 5w30 with 1 qt of the lucas stablizer. What are you guys opinions or what do you use.

I run Mobil 1 5w-30 full synthetic and I DO NOT recommend ANY oil additive.

+1

run the best quality oil you can, and if possible the best synthetic. Mobil 1 is good (I run regular mobil oil right now because my oil pan is LEAKING and I do not want my high quality oil on the pavement) and I can get mobil 1 at work for cheap...

and yes those additives are no good... they are for say an old truck with 300k on it that you just want to live a lil longer... they cause more problems than good in stangs

That's what I run also...and I've never been a fan of additives either.

I don't belive in synthetic, but I change my oil a lot more frequently than most people.

5w 30 is the way to go though.

Mobil 1 and the mobil 1 filter. Part # m1-210

I run it in all my vehicles.

GT - switched over at 3k I change it once in the fall and once in the spring because the car only sees maybe 4k miles a year.

Xterra - switched over at 5k change it every 6k

Altima - switched at 3k change it every 6k

I use valvoline synpower 5w-20 and have never looked back. stays viscus in my car for 4 months. I only change my oil & filter 3 times a year because you don't have to change synthetic as often. Some people say that you can go 5000 miles on certain synthetics, but I only ever put about 1600 to 2000 miles on an oil change anyway.

Royal Purple 5w-30 premium synthetic. Better HP, higher rpm's, extended oil changes, dynomite performance.
