If you have been saving for awhile (like I have) you would really be making a mistake getting heads and cams instead of a blower. Unless you can afford to do a complete rebuild, you are limited to somewhere around 300 rwhp. The bottom end just can't spin enough RPM to take advantage of the heads and cams potential.

It comes down to this. Even the BEST ported aftermarket heads (like the stage 2.5s etc) for 2vs flow like **** compared to ANY 5.0 aftermarket head. 225-230 cfm@ .550 lift?? Aftermarket 5.0 heads are running in the 300 cfm area. Thats why they can make so much power on a N/A setup.

I just went thru this myself, and decided on a blower. 425 RWHP vs 300 rwhp. There simply is no comparasion.

If you decide to but some heads and cams...I recommend heads from Fox Lake Racing, MPH or VT. As far as cams...VT all the way.
