Default which one?

I want to put a good engine in my mustang and I was told that I can make the 4V 4.6L fast then the 2V 5.4. Is that true? what other ideas does everyone have! this was the 4V I was looking at (M-6007-M146)

4.6L 4v M-6007-AV46

I know thats why I want to find out what is going to be the best and go with it. I dont really care which one I get because they are all better then what I got now! I just want to make it as easy as posable. I dont want to go too deep and not be happy!
