lol, the same thing happened to my 99gt. I bought it with 40k and sold it 2 years later with 54k. The intake mani(piece of crap!!!) gave out and thats about it, besides the fog lights.

Just started modding my 121k 97 cobra... I dont see why you think its a bad idea.. compression checks out, still putting out factory numbers.. These motors dont just randomly blow at high miles like older motors did.. I know a lot of people with 4.6's in trucks, suv's, and other ford cars that have well over 200k and are running strong. If everything is taken care of there really is no reason they cant go well into the 200k+ range.
