I wouldn't pay more than $2500 for a non pi car no matter what it had . I guess cars are cheaper in Tx . Check craigslist there are a sh*tload for less than 3500

Yeah man these cars are pretty reliable. As long as the car has been mantained, you shouldn't have any problems. Just keep up on the mantainence though. The price is about right for my area. I'm in St. Louis, MO. Maybe just jew em' down a little bit. Overall should be a good buy, but won't be fast. Lol.

I have never seen a 96+ gt go for 2500when some of you seem to imply that you have . 4k would be an average price for that car assuming the body is in good condition and there are no mechanical issues.
3 years ago I bought my '96 GT with 72K for $2,500. You just need to know how to make good deals and talk people down. And, of course, money talks.

I bought mine in PA. It was about an hour away from where I used to live.

I agree, maybe pay $4-4500 for it. My view may be a bit skewed too, I'm just South of St. Louis and the prices of these cars around here do seem to be a bit higher than a lot of places. I paid $14K for my 02 with 62K miles last June. [&o]
