Default BEST WAY TO BURN OUT WITH A 5 SPEED

ok i know dumb question, but i have never had a 5 speed to burn out. so whats the best way in a mustang to get em sticky.

To make street tires sticky.... burning out is not gonna help you, its gonna hurt you. You can do a quick chirp of the tires to get the nasty off the tires but thats about all you wanna do. As for drag radials... a nice 5-10 burnout will warm them up good and be pretty sticky at the track.

Stick it in 2nd if your on dr's rev it, dump it, and get back on the brake. hold it for 5-10 sec. and then let off the brake and roll it out. They should be sticky. Chirping street tires will be sufficient

What gear you are in depends on gearing. Stock gears I wuold burnout in 1stespecially on the stock clutch. If you have 3.73's or 4.10's 2nd is probably a better bet.

If i'm doing a burnout for show, I start in 2nd, the slam it into third if it's not smoking good enough

how about a long burnout?? i have no clue how to do this!!! i had a 4.6 t-bird before with a vortec and a 4 speed aod so this is new to me

if it's going to be for show and you're on stock gears, put it in 2nd and dump it

Get a line-lock. Your brakes, rear end, and transmission will thank you later. Plus its much easier...
