Hmm... Maybe that's why this is in general and not tech? We are talking about 4.6 Mustangs.

The rough definition of a bolt-on modular is a car that has literally "bolt on" parts, such as a CAI, UDP's, cat back system, lt's etc. When you start doing any kind of cam, head, valve, F/I, nitrous, or anything requiring a tune or a professional to install, its not considered bolt-on anymore. This includes gears, seeing as the majority wont dare install them theirself as thorough knowledge is required, its not considered a "bolt-on" mod.

LMAO before you accuse me of something, go back and read the thread. once again i have to dumb it down, it started with something aboutsomeones car running low 11's being just a "bolt-on". i said no "BOLT ON" gt can run low - mid 11's being just a bolt-on. Obviously you dont know the definition of a "bolt-on" modular. And got "smacked down" do i really have you remind you once again this is the internet, and you should respect your elders, especially veterans.

As for your definition of gears not being a bolt on mod? HAHAHAHAHA... I think rap shouldn't be considered music but does that make my opinion right? No. Just my opinion. Who said a bolt on's car would run low 11's huh?
Your saying anything requiring a tune is no longer a bolt on. Guess all the folks running CAI on 05 and GT's are no longer bolt ons either huh? They require a tune after CAI install.

no, youre talking about this because you have a need to present yourself as superior, which is pathetic to begin with, and even more pathetic to do it online. fact is, if he will race Code, he will tell Code himself. he doesnt need the middle school go between, let them settle it on the track.

Bench racing, internet racing, and all of the BS in between is worthless. Actions speak louder than words and most people on here wouldn't consider backing up their talk with walk. Unfortunately, breagles called out the few who will do so and now the bystanders are looking for action. I read all of that other post with no reason for responding. With this thread, I am curious to see how it shakes out since there was a challenge and an acceptance. We'll now see who's full of it.
Warning to longtime forum members, another REALLY long 2000gt4.6 rant coming.....
My elders? Rofl you have to remind me. Seriously, somebody has quite the ego. Hell, how do you even know if your older than me (not that it means squat)
Rofl. How about we go by join on date? Or post count?
Andjust because you are/were in the miltary doesn't mean you know jack. Not only does it have very little (nothing) to do with whats being discussed, but just because yourare/were in the military doesn't mean your not an asshat.
You and bregal (who you are now defending) are the ones that got hostile and arrogant in the other thread, not myself or other forum members.
Would you like all the bull**** you posted on the thread pasted? Here ya go:
You almost literally cannot snap your stock 8.8 with bolton only power and a nitto style drag radial. The tires will burn off before you destroy anything. With 420 WHP and full suspension I still have manged to keep the stock 8.8 perfectly fine.
Jdaniel, mdvaldosta, and a host of other people, forum members and not, with video beg to differ. No head/cam work is nessicarry.. just boltons, suspension (control arms, struts/shocks and springs) and some good drag radials with the good driver mod.
Hell, there is even a member (hasn't posted recently though) with a bone stock power mod (no exhaust, no boltons) car going high 12s... just 4.56s, suspension, and a built axle with slicks.
No doubt its gonna take more than just boltons + suspension to run low 12s... its really to bad you didn't READ the guy you quoted... as he said "For the average driver, full bolt ons and some suspension work could get you into the 12's". Nothing about low 12s (other than saying code runs them... with more than a bit of sarcasm on his point about code only having stuff "bolted on".
Same bull****.. nobody so far on the thread has said ANYTHING about running low 12s with boltons only. The only thing stated is that you can get into the 12s with a bolton only car. 12s mean 12.90s, hell your in the 12s with a 12.99999
Your saying its a cobra when its not.. but still nobody has said anything about low 12s but you.
Still looking for that low 12s claim. The closest you can come is Pworld talking about codes car extremly sarcastically as a "bolton" car... anyone thats been in 4.6L for more than a day or two knows its a serious car.
After all this.. then you start attacking bregals. I point out the obvious bull**** with his 1/4 mile time... and you quote (badly) that its bull****.. as if I am making the assertion. The funny part is... at the begining of the thread your a smartass about all this and are agreeing with breagles. Everyone starts telling him how full of **** he is, you argue for awhile and then start to agree with everyone else.
Care to go another round? Or have you been owned enough for today?

low 13's my a*s unless you have a built-rear you launch aggressively on DR's ur gonna toast your rear end, then you wont even finish the 1/8 mile. gears + full bolt ons = mid to high 13's
how is a full bolt on gt gonna run 12's with "some" suspension mods. theres just not enough power to get there that quickly unless you have head and cam work. or youre running a gear ratio of 9.64 to 1 or some sh*t
Hell, there is even a member (hasn't posted recently though) with a bone stock power mod (no exhaust, no boltons) car going high 12s... just 4.56s, suspension, and a built axle with slicks.
are we considering F/I a bolt on? a bolt on GT with suspension work running low 12's lmfao i dont think you can be under 300rwhp and damn near run an 12.1-12.2
search button is for commies!! and im not saying a GT isnt in 12's im saying a BOLT-ON gt isnt running that.
cool good run a bolt-on cobra running 12.96 so that just goes to prove, how could a bolt-on gt run low 12's? nice kill on the vette he must have spun to not be close to 12's
my mistake nevertheless its 12.96 not low 12's like previously claimed

Listen here buddy. This is the internet. I respect people who show respect. You i don't know. I am veteran myself so i should automatically expect respect from folks? No i shouldn't. I served my country. I was honorably discharged. The start of the thread in question was about people lieing about horsepower and times. Dude says no way a bolt on GT can run 12's. He was shown that it can be done.

doing laundry for the Navy barely lets you qualify as a veteran. And now youre over simplifying things, as for as a dyno tune - cams, heads, f/i, nitrous, stroked motors etc. were not talking about 197's this is about new edges.

Man... you seriously think your hot **** or something don't ya?
