Default Lowering Springs..

First off Hello everyone. I have been reading some really good things here and nice to see how much everyone chips in to help others out. Ok I am a newb to the site so I will have a lot of questions due to the fact that I am by no means a mechanic. That said, I have an 04 GT. Fairly stock aside from a MAC offroad H, Bassani catback and a MAC cold air intake. I have paid off all the bills and ready to start spending some serious money on performance and looks. First thing I want to do is lower the Stang about an inch and a half. Give me some good Ideas on everything I will need. Brand names and the best place to purchase would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and get ready because in a few months I plan to purchase a KenneBell Blower and will be asking lots more questions.

Most guys here will say Eibach Pro Kit. If I had to do it a second time I would get the Sportlines or H&Rs. I'm totally unimpressed with the Pro Kit....

They're not often recommended, and not what I would have bought prior to having them, however my '03 GT came to me withDropzone p/n DZ2100 springs and I am surprisingly pleased with them. They can also be bought for $110 (which I think would have in part fueldmy inhibition about buying them)--nonetheless Dropzone has been in business for years and does offer a lifetime warranty.Despite being advertised as lowering the car "up to 2 inches", they seem to have only lowered mine by about 1.5" in the rear and about 1.25" up front. The car is nicely balanced and handles well.

I really liked the Progress springs I had on my GT. About a 1 3/4" drop and that sumbitch cornered FLAT! They beat the crap outta me, but it was sooooooo worth it.....

Thanks guys, good advice on the springs. I will do a little research. Am I going to need a c/c plate?

most guys on here willcomplain about pro-kit; uneven drop, not enough drop, ect go with supersports or sportlines and you'll have no regrets
