Default Full bolt ons

Ok, my question is this. I see all these different cars saying they have FULL BOLTONS, What all do you have to have before you can claim you have FULL BOLTONS? Because I see a lot of people claiming they have it but they don't have as much as the next guy who claims he does also. Just curious is all. Because I want to say I do some day ,but not to prematurely like others.

Full bolt ons would be full exhaust (headers, midpipe & catback), pulleys, TB, plenum, CAI and water pump. I think that should cover it. Any others, guys?

You don't mean an electric water pump with pullies, do you? Can that be done?

I'd throw a tune and gears in there too because then you've got the supporting mods to go f/i, but you haven't done any major motor work. But I always hear people saythey have full bolt ons + gears so I don't know.

I'd call it headers, midpipe, catback, u/d pulleys, cai/RAI/ or maf mounted filter, maf, inlet tube, and throttle body. Gears really arn't a bolton per se since most people will say "boltons with 4.10s" or "boltons with 3.73s" to specify the ratio.

You could throw in an aluminum driveshaft as well, but its not really making any difference so it doesn't really matter.

I don't think I would call an electric water pump part of the "full boltons" thing though... most people with a street car don't run one, and unless your acutally removing all the accessories it doesn't really do that much anyway (or so says MM&FF)

Heads, cams, and superchargersbolt-on too--I've always found that expression to really mean "full [relatively cheap and easy to install] bolt-ons".

well if we wanna go that far, heads are bolt-on too, superchargers bolt on, they make "bolt-on" turbo kits, and one other thing....why do people post that they have a short throw shifter in with their engine performance mods, or when they lay out their dyno numbers and have somewhere in the write-up that their car has a short-throw shifter? call me old school, but i've never heard of a shifter giving your car extra HP on the dyno.

it doesnt give you more hp. it just makes it alot easier to grab the next gear. and it doesnt feel like your driving a truck anymore.

Sure, why not? You don't use the water pump UD pulley. I run the Meziere electric water pump and Steeda UD alt and balancer.
