Default Shocks w/ struts

I was wondering if it was necesary to get shocks w/ struts. cuz i was lookin at some and...my money kinda needs to go to necesities. so do i NEED struts??? sry kind of a newb to this suspension thing.

Let me clarify, struts are really just a fancy name for "shock with different mounting point". In the front you use struts, in the back you use "shocks". You will notice the difference is that shocks use eye holes where bolts go through to mount on top and bottom, and struts generally have a threaded shaft that a bolts down on top, and some form of mounting to the spindle.

Do a google search if you need clarification on what they look like. You don't need to do the front and back at the same time, you will get better handling with matching struts/shocks, but its not 100% necessary if cash is tight.

Hey i just need some rear shocks. . . anyone know of a cheap place to get those?

oh lol i didnt know the front used different stuff then the back. well now tht i know...im thinkin ill just have to get sum tokico shocks and struts for the stang!
