Default injectors

I know the orange ones are 19# and the pink ones are 22# but what if you have 6 orange ones and 2 pink ones will that make the motor run bad.

See the prev. owner has put two pink 22# injectors in the left side(I don't know why).I've been chasing this bad studdering problem eversence I bought this car 6 months ago.It only studders under a load just off idle.Would that make it run rich in the 2 with the 22# injectors and lean in the 6 with 19# injectors.
Its not pulling any codes or anything it just runs like crap from about 800rpm's up to about 1800rpm's.
What do you all think?

I think after work today I'm going to buy 2 19# injectors and see if that fixes the problem.

That sounds like it could be the problem. If the MAF sensor thinks the car is running 19's, then it will make the 22's operate like they were 19's, they flow more, therefore the two cylinders that they're on should be running rich. Pull the plugs and check. I bet those two will be noticeably different.

I'll do that.
When I first got this car it had a bad misfire so the dealer I got it from fixed all that.It was the aluminum UDP on the crank,It was out of balance so it caused the crank sencor to go out. Then the next day it had 3 coil packs go out so they put new ones in and all new plugs but they did not say anything about the injectors or if the plugs looked bad. After all that it ran great for about a week then it started to studder again so I put a new fuel filter in it.It ran good for about a day before it started doing it again.I was starting to think it was plugged injectors.

I did notnotice the injectors tell the other day when I was showing a friend my car.

sounds like a series of problems. Eventually you'll do like me and chase demons till you wind up switching the entire engine and replacing everything with new stuff

I hope it don't come to that.
Other then the little studder at the bottom end it runs great.
I like this car better then my old black 98 Z3 roadster.
Its more fun to drive.

You're fine. Itll still deliver the same amount of fuel. Just becuase they're 19's or 22's doesnt mean they're always giving 19# or 22#'s of fuel. Thats just where you max out. If you made a LOT of power it could be a problem becuase the 19's will max out before the 22's will but right now you're fine. And no the MAF doesnt think anything. Only aftermarket MAF's are calibrated for certain injectors. This is what Ford Racing themselves told me. If you went and put 24's or 22's or whatever on your car your maf wouldnt care and it wouldnt turn your car upsidedown. Your MAF can be calibrated for injectors but they're not from the factory, contrary to the popular rumor that has been going around. . . .

So you don't think its the injectors.
So your saying that with19# and 22#injectors in my car at the same time they will all spray the same amount of fuel. I don't think so.Way do you think they flow match injectors.

I looked on evilbay today for injectors just to see if there was any and there is tons of them for cheap.Cause I can't see spending 300-500 for injectors if it don't work.

What is the biggest injector you can put in these cars( what size works the best)for close to stock.

109#er's

Like i said. They MAX OUT at 22 or 19 or 109 or whatever. Thats not what theyre always flowing. YOur MAF is going to say flow 15#'s at WOT on a stock car for example. It doesnt matter if its a 19# or a 46# its going to flow 15#'s I dont know for sure about mix matching injectors. Its not a good idea and id get all stock. You wont need more than 19's for a long time.

I figured 19's would be fine.
The thing I hate is when you go to step on the gas it just falls on its face until you hit about 1800rpms,Its like the two with 22# are flooding out.So what I've been doing is when I go to take off from a dead stop I rev it to about 1800rpms and let the clutch out, it makes for a fun stop light take off .For autocross racing its ok as long as I stay above 1800rpms
