Default RE: summit vs MPH Vortech kits

I did a google search on the summit part number, this is what I got from another site:

http://www.joeblowracing.com/product...52bf86b0eb28fb

Something isn't right, that part number should not include the fuel pump or injectors/chip etc. For that price no way they have a I/C included as well unless summit started making DIY ones themselves.

I would definatly be calling them and getting a price list before doing anything else, something is wrong here. for 2900 I could see the injectors and fuel pump being thrown in, but not a tuner as well with a semi custom mail order tune (from summit its gotta be junk either way but still..) and the cooler.

The summit part number is the exact same as Vortechs kit..which includes everything(except the Bypass Valve?WTF?)including the re-flash piggy back chip when you send in your ecm to vortech...I'd have to call and find out....thats really cheap.....although I bought my entire setup for 2500.00.....But the walboro pump that comes with it?Toss it in the garbage,,and get a Focus SVT pump...

That is CRAZY. $5300 from Vortech, and $2900 from Summit.

With the MPH kit, would it be safe to use the tune they provide?

damm, I musta not paid attention, the MPH kit comes with them as well.

regardless, your still going to need to throw away the summit "chip" and get a proper tune, running it on that tune would be pure suicide.

somethings not right though, it lists it as "intercooler included" as well... and there isn't any way it is (vortech has a aftercooler, its 1300+ bucks). It also says the bypass isn't included...wtf?

This SHOULD bea vortech tuner kit, dunno wtf is going on here, probably would have to call summit and get an exact parts list.
Yeah, I know. Someone on here said a few days ago they were going to email and ask if the price was right, and I've searched for that thread since then but can't find it. The price for that kit has been listed at that for at least 4-5 days now, I would think if it was a mistake they would have caught it by now. I wish I had the cash to pick it up before they change it
Bah, even with everything they list (if it acutally has it) minus the intercooler (no way it comes with it) its not really that great of a deal. Your talking probably 3050-3100 by the time you get it shipped, and then tack on another 400-500 bucks for the chip/handheld your local dyno shop can tune + the custom tune you will need and your at 3500-3600 bucks.. not that much cheaper than the mongoose kits (about 300-400 bucks).

something has to be wrong, thats for sure, like I said the options arn't listed right (cooler etc). Also, it doesn';t tell you injector size, what brand of chip, etc etc... seems like maybe a bait and switch to me
