I cant seem to get the dipstick in after pi kit. Is it possible to put the dipstick in with the head bolted down or not?Any useful tips for dipstick install. (sounds dumb but that dipstick is a in the ***)

Hey..... But yeah, when i put the LT's on the hardest part was putting the dipstick in... I drove around without one for...... 8 months (I plugged it ofcorse). But i finally got it in!!!! just Keep trying, ull get it

 

Oh my GOD I hate dipsticks! Had major issues with mine. Said screw it and went to the dealership in which they replaced it.

Honestly though, you should be able to put just enough force to pop it in.

 

DoI have to have the head off to put it on?

 

It is possiable but its not very fun. I had mine up on a lift with me sitting on the car while it was in the air pushing down and hitting it with a hammer and a buddy under neath pulling down on it with a pry bar trying to get it in. We never got it all the way in but most of the way. So half way full on the dipstick is actually full for me now. Good Luck its no fun.

Edit : no you don't have to take off the head.
