Well I have a bone stock tape player and ****ty speakers in my mustang so the mach 1000 would be a dream to me. I think a lot of you guys are looking for to much in this. If he's only looking to spend $200 for something that sounds good to the average guy I don't see this being all that bad of a deal.

its not a piece of $$$$$$, imo, i like it, and it came with the car so thats a ++, what i will do later is upgrade to better subs (same box) and buy a single amp. to open some space. but i love how it sound to be a factory setup, if you are getting it cheap, ill buy it

So did my buddy... I literally sat there with a stopwatch seeing how long it would last.... 17 minutes and it blew... My car is 4 years old and still sounds strong.

3 1/2 years later it still works (my 59 year oldmom has the car now). Maybe I got lucky, I dunno....

I know it sounds like I'm being really hard on it, but remember, I HATED IT!!!! [:'(]X 1000. One man's trash is another's treasure....

Won't tell you anything. It will only sound as good as the speakers you play it through. Kinda like when they advertise expensive TVs on on TV.

Look for a Mustang that's for sale and go listen to it in person....

Hm im trying to see where your coming from poisnd... I guess if you turned the bass ALL the way up then did the same to the volume i have no idea what the outcome would be!

But where i am coming from.... In my last mustang i had 2 12" 1200 watt kickers with a 5000(i dont remember the exact numbers.... but this is close)watt amp pushing it.... And well it got REALLY annoying!

So when im cruising and listening to music i have the bass on half and the music up to a 'pleasant' level and it sounds awesome... for stock to me!

well, the mach1000 balances a good bass level with nice highs and mid, but still cranck strong, i think after the mach1000, it will be too laud (imo) for me.
mines shakes the hell aout of my rear view mirrors, and everything that migh be loose on the car.
