ford racing flywheel
Is it true that if you put a King Cobra Ford Racing clutch in your stang you also have to replace you factory flywheel with the ford racing flywheel? I was told by some people that the King Cobra clutch wont bolt up to the stock flywheel, is that true??
Everthing I've read,,states its a 10.5 inch clutch like what we have stock..its a stock replacement.should bolt up just fine....anyone else know for sure?

That is exactly what I thought also. I thought is was a direct bolt on replacement, but like I said some people were telling me that I needed to get the ford racing flywheel, but I didnt think that was true!!!
When I put in my 99 motor in my 96 I couldn't use the clutch from the 96 and had to buy a new smaller clutch. The 96 flywheel actually was about 10 lbs heavier so I didn't mind so much. Maybe this is because of the year change or maybe it's cause of the Romeo NPI and Windsor PI difference, I don't know. But, they are different.
