Default Predator or LiveWire?

Which tuning unit do you guys prefer, the Diablosport Predator handheld unit ($399.99 US) or the SCT LiveWireflash tuner($569.99 US)?

I have talked to more people that have the Predator and they say it is great, but the Livewire looks really good, and comes with a built in shift light at the optimal rpm.

Is is possible to use both?

SCT i believe (as well as most others) is far better than diablo. ive heard ALOT of complaint about Diablosport and when something goes wrong the customer service is non existant. Find out what tuners use in your area, and get that. If you dont plan on having a dyno tune any time soon, SCT is a must.

I cant give you any feedback on the SCT, but I use my predator and it works fine for me. I had never used a tuner before and I've picked up on how to do some of the settings pretty quickly. Just about anyone could use this tuner.

hmm okay thanks for those two responses. I would go with the SCT but I want to make sure that it can do everything the Predator can. It should for $170 more. I looked up dealers for both and theyboth have dealers around me about the same distance away too. My friend Eric (02 ProCharged GT) has the DiabloSport I will have to ask him about it whenever I see him, but that might now be for a week lol.

The Livewire can do WAY more than the Predator. Even the Xcal2(SCT's Most recent before livewire) Can do more than the Predator.
Live wire is a Tuner and a Gtech built in one. It does 60ft,1/8,1000ft,1/4 0-WHAT EVER mph you want and Braking Distance also. I have the Gtech the Shiftlight is Small but it works, Id rather spend the money and get a Raptor Shiftlight in my Vents or somewhere hidden(im not one for the Big Goofy 5'Tacs)

But id Say SCT FTW!!!

The predator is more user friendly but the SCT is better quality.

yeah lol I hate those huge tachs. My friend Eric has one along with the predator.
Any chance you can use them together? (i don't know why you would want to spend the extra money but it would be interesting to know)

my predator has caused me nothing but problems since i have gotten it. My local dyno tuner cant make heads or tails of it, it never used to even install a tune, then all of a sudden it started working for like a year period...now my car wont shift at WOT, seems everytime i touch a shift point with the tuner, the TPS gets fried (im on my 3rd one this month since i realized what was happening[:@]) Their customer service sucks also.......but if you have an auto, your equally screwed with SCT, they change their shift pointsby MPH rather than RPM, i have no idea why

Hmm well I would be getting a 5 speed so the SCT sounds like it is the better deal, but my dad said when he gets rid of his Tarus he will be looking at Fusion's and mustangs (05+), but he says he is getting an auto cause he said it sucks having a manual when you are tired cause you won't want to shift. I may see Eric tonight so I will ask him about his predator.
