i just bought a 97 GT. its totally stock and i wanted to boost its horses up a litte... what are a couple things i should do?? i want to do a K&N intake and hurst short throw.

 

just get the k&n filter, or get a ebay cai for 40 bucks. They just arn't worth the money for the more exspensive ones with the minimal gains you get. For a shifter go with MGW, you won't be dissapointed.

 

+1 on the K&N filter., that's all you'll really need. For the money you'd spend on a CAI it won't be worth it.

Hurst short throw shifter is nice, can't go wrong with that. Basically any short throw shifter will be a huge improvement over stock. I like my MGW because of the adjustable handle and the fact that it's not any noisier than stock. Can't say the same for the other shifters out there.

 

Get the K&N, MGW, and get 4.10 gears. The 4.10`s are the best bang for the buck. You will like the gain from the gears.
