Default Replacing shocks?

Is it easy for a novice mechanic? Mine creak/squeak a lot each time I hit any bump, and its time to replace them for my own sanity. Just curious as to know how hard it really is...maybe there is a write-up somewhere?

One bolt under the car and one nut in the trunk. Very easy.

Its a super easy install, just make sure you have an impact to make it easier. I had a hard time with the dust covers, so I needed an impact to get the bolt off the shaft.

Replace both your shocks and struts at the same time. Adjustable ones FTW if you can afford it (a little under 400 bucks for the entire set).
