Default whats the diffrence in romeo and windsor??

what is the diffrence between the two blocks ????? how interchangeable are the blocks from 1996 to 2004 will a 96 block work in my 02 gt ???? are the sensors the same ???? what would i have to do ???

the only differncebetween romeo and the winders headsare the bolt pattern on the vavle covers. Ones 11 and the other is 13 or 14 i think.Romeo and winders is the name of thetown or plantthat they was made in

The block castings are the same. Cranks, heads, and flywheels are different as well.

Romeo uses bolt on can gears
Windsor uses press on cam gears
Romeo has camshaft girdles
windsor has camshaft caps
Romeo has 11 bolt valve covers
Windsor has 13 bolt valve covers
Romeo has jack screws in the main caps
Windsor has pins in the main caps

Any modular head will fit and 4.6L block (except 3V)

Sounds like Romeo is the block to have out of the two.

So are romeo's for the most partmore reliable? what about the strength of the internals? are windsors more likely to spina rod bearing etc.?
